Description:

The editorial improvements are found throughout the entire volume. For Italy, two new perforation variants were noted:  MiNr. 1280 and 1846, a distinction is now made between variants A and C. We indicate the recent postage increases with a corresponding inset.  High-priced items were examined particularly closely. In particular, the pricing of Italian issues from the 1930s to the 1950s has been adjusted to reflect current market trends. Prices continue to rise for some items from Fiume.  A surprising discovery was made regarding stamps issued by San Marino: the mass-produced stamps from the 1960s and 1970s are slowly beginning to increase in price, while conversely, expensive items are declining slightly. Furthermore, some additional first-day covers were added for the years 1892 to 1922.
 
Obtaining stamps from Vatican City remains extremely difficult following the restructuring of the dispatch office. To provide an overview, we have included a table summarizing the new issues that have been difficult to obtain so far.
