Description:

This entire volume has seen editorial improvements. In addition to updates regarding the content, numerous photos that were previously black-and-white have been replaced with colour versions. The numerous novelties that were recorded between the 42nd edition of 2022 and the current edition are depicted as well. They amount to well over 1,900 new MICHEL numbers.

The review and updating of price quotations were another focal point. Changes are particularly notable in the French Oceania collection area, where numerous issues show price increases, some of them considerable. On the other hand, the market for the classic collection area of the Australian state of New South Wales continues to be extremely volatile. Depending on the condition, the market prices that are actually realized can be significantly higher or lower than MICHEL quotations. It is therefore essential to closely monitor the market for this collection area.  

As is the case with every new edition, all novelties we had learned about by the editorial deadline have been included. Obtaining reliable information and suitable source material always poses a challenge for the editorial team, especially regarding the smaller Pacific island territories. A thorough examination of all sources is therefore all the more important so that only stamps that have verifiably been issued are included in the MICHEL catalogue.
